During the summer, I love to make quick fruit salsas to serve with chips or to pile on top of fish tacos, baked chicken or pork chops. But honestly, I absolutely love to just have this as an appetizer or snack served with a chip. Talk about scrumptious. The blend of sweet from the peaches and blueberries and the spiciness of the jalapeño and onion is absolutely perfection.
Blueberry Peach Salsa Recipe
So full of color, this blueberry peach salsa is just as beautiful to look at as it is to eat. That’s one reason I love to make it when we are entertaining. It always is one of those dishes that disappears quickly and that everyone loves. It is so refreshing in warm weather and great for something just a little bit different.
Made with just four fresh ingredients, blueberries, peaches, jalapeno and onion, this has to be one of our favorite, fresh, quick and easy salsa recipes for summer!
To make it, you add blueberries, diced jalapeno and sliced onions to a medium bowl.
Then, add in diced peaches.
And then with a quick stir, it is ready to serve. Talk about the easiest! With every bite, you get the sweetness from the peaches and blueberries, along with a bit of bite from the jalapenos and onion. It really does make for a delicious dish!
Note that my original recipe from 2013 included red onions and maple syrup. As I’ve been making this fruit salsa through the years, I’ve found that we prefer to use green onions in the salsa and have not had a need to include maple syrup, especially if the peaches are ripe and sweet.
