on Aug 19, 2016, Updated May 27, 2023 24 Comments I love the simplicity of making my own compound butters and this cinnamon honey butter has to be one of my favorites. Thankfully, it couldn’t be simpler to whip together or to make ahead and store in the freezer. With football games beginning again and the holidays just around the corner, this is definitely one of those recipes you want to have on the ready for entertaining! Speaking of which, if you find a great deal on butter, why not go ahead and pick up extra to make your own compound butter like this to keep in the freezer for a special occasion – or just a quick family breakfast. I think you’ll love it! But, fair warning, it does spoil your family to have all the flavor right there in their butter when you begin using it. Ha! It all begins with a stick of softened butter, a bit of honey, and cinnamon. Three simple ingredients to kick whatever you serve it with up a notch or two. It is perfect on baked pears or apples, on sweet potatoes, and don’t even get me started about it on a bowl of oatmeal in the morning. One little bit of this butter adds such complex flavor! I just know that you’ll find so many uses for it! Here’s my Cinnamon Honey Butter Recipe. Make it soon and let me know what you think! Enjoy!Robyn xo From the Add a Pinch recipe archives.
