How to Make Thai Iced Tea

Step #1: Heat the water and sugar until boiling in a microwave-safe French press or liquid measuring cup. Stir the water to ensure the sugar has dissolved, then stir in the Thai Iced Tea mix and let it sit for 10 minutes to steep. Luckily, Thai Iced Tea mix is easy to find in any Asian grocery. You can also order it online. A bag of that size will make many large batches of Thai iced tea, so it’s definitely worth the small investment. Once you have your Thai tea mix, you just need water, ice, sugar, cream, and a way to brew it. Step #2: Plunge down the strainer if using a French press, or strain the solids out of the tea by using a fine mesh strainer, cheesecloth, or coffee filter. Step #3: Chill in the fridge for 1 hour or until cold.

Steeping Time: The intensity of the tea flavor can be adjusted by how long you let the tea steep. For a deeper, richer flavor, allow it to steep a bit longer than suggested, but be cautious as over-steeping can lead to bitterness.
